Ham What Am

Well The Easter 2009 has hopped away--but the large bone in Publix Ham finally met its fate today as H carved up the remains and froze them.   Wahoo Ham sandwiches for lunch.
I plan to make soup-but H just announced he didn't want pea soup-so it will have to be Bean soup.
I love Pea soup.  The love affair began years ago while traveling with my folks in San Francisco.
"Anderson's" was the place and they had wonderful wonderful Pea soup.
Here in our sub I have found Pea soupers and they too have spouses who spike the enjoyment.
Perhaps we should declare a Pea soup luncheon.   Sounds like a sort of springy thing to do.
Ahhhhhhhh a new tradition is born.

    I shall add some soups to the July menu. I make a great pea soup and have an equally wonderful potato. Paul loves my soups. That will be a good vegetarian thing to have, and I can easily have sides of meat to add to individual bowls.

    There comes a time when pea soup is more attractive than at other times- and right now isn't it for me- sorry I must've gotten that from Dad. :)

    I've been cutting back on the pea/ bean thingy as I've found it ups my sugars a lot- daggone it!!
